my head has many headcanons for so many different characters and they're all bumbling around my head at the same time so excuse my little ramble 🙏

Jason Todd who loves to cook - hates ordering take out because he doesn't know how they're making it. Instead he makes whatever craving you might be having. Whether it be something he's made a million times or never before, he'll always prefer putting on music in the kitchen, sitting you on the counter next to him, and dancing around as he cooks.

Simon Riley with a single parent partner - he'll never admit it but he's a little scared of being around your kid but not for the reasons you'd think. Yes he has a fear of being a kids father figure, especially early on in the relationship, but he's more scared of what the kid will do to him. I mean kids are strong and completely unpredictable. The first time you ask him to watch your kid, even for just a minute, he freaks out because the kid will just sit there and stare at him. Like they know something he doesn't. He'll complain to you about your kid staring into his soul and knowing his secrets. It makes you laugh every time.

James Potter who has a problem with poking you - Whether he wins or loses a quidditch game the first thing he does is poke your nose. You don't know why, he doesn't know why but it's become so normal that no one questions it. If he wants your attention he won't call your name or do anything normal, he'll just poke you in the strangest places. Including but not limited to the back of your neck, your side, the side of your leg, or your chest. Just because it's closest to him. And even when you're on the opposite side of the room he still finds a way. He'll use a spell to poke you without touching or put a bunch of straws/sticks together till it's long enough to touch you. You genuinely don't know why.

Lily Evans who has a popular ASMR channel in modern time - whether you're a fan of ASMR or not you're gonna be hearing it a lot and more often than not be involved in it. If you're someone that gets repulsed by ASMR she'll make it her mission to find something you enjoy, just so she can involve you. She claims it's because it's relaxing and an easy way to make money, but you think it's because she likes touching you. Which is why she is constantly playing with your hair and giving random massages.

Remus Lupin who loves to help you get ready every morning - whether you have a set routine or not he's right there with you every step of the way. If you're okay with it he'll even do your skincare or makeup for you, kissing your nose after every step. Some days he does things like help pick out your clothes or paint your nails if you'd like. If you ask him about it he'll always say "Cuz it makes you feel good, I want you to feel as good as possible." Seriously makes my heart melt

It was a rare moment of impulse that had led Lily to be standing outside the door of Remus' bedsit on a drizzly Tuesday night, a bottle of red in one hand and Stevie Nicks' new album in the other.

It hadn't taken Remus long to open the door, and although he undoubtedly looked more than a little surprised to see her, he hid it quickly behind his characteristic polite and curious smile.

Lily watched his eyes take in the record, the wine, her hair that was undoubtedly unruly from the damp and probably something a little manic in her eyes.

He took a step back, opened the door a little wider and welcomed her inside without a further word.

Lily sat on the floor, back against the sofa, as Remus retrieved two glasses. She poured the wine when he returned and he picked up the record, slipped the vinyl from it's sleeve, placed it on the player and started it with a flick of his wand.

"It's just come out," Lily said, hoping their joint appreciation of Stevie would stand as enough of an explanation as to why she had come.

Remus gave a slight nod, giving nothing away, and sat beside Lily on the floor. Their knees were touching.

Lily stared into her glass, took a sip to steel herself, and said, quietly, "James doesn't know I'm here."

"I figured."

"I know he just wants to keep me and Harry safe. And I love him for that. But sometimes...I don't know...it's suffocating...a love like that."

Remus said nothing for a moment before offering, gently, " He cares very deeply for you."

"I know."

Lily exhaled and closed her eyes. The tendrils of the wine, the closeness of Remus beside her, and the rhythm of the music relaxed her.

She turned, caught Remus' eye and prompted by the unexpected speed of the alcohol's effect, offered, "He misses you, you know."

Her words had an instant effect on Remus. A ghost of something appeared and was rapidly replaced by something constructed and composed as he took a swig of his drink and said, "I doubt that."

Lily hesitated. Her voice caught a little as she ventured, "If you saw him, you'd know."

"Know what?"

There was an irrasicble edge to Remus' voice that cut through Lily's growing tipsiness, giving her pause and stopping her from what she was going to say next.

He needs you. He wants you. He just can't find the words to say.

Lily gave a shrug, the needle on the record skidded to a halt, and she took another draft of her wine in silence.

First time posting original work, kinda nervous. Anyway, I had this idea during a dream and immediately wrote down what I could when I woke up.

Summary: Remus lupin visits an old friend who never left the castle.

There she was exactly where he'd found her all those years ago. Her ghostly body floated above him as he slowly made his way over to her. Even though death had drained her of colour he could still see the yellow of her jumper and the red scarf she had around her neck. He walked up to the window she was staring out of.

“ It seems we both can't escape this place.” He spoke with a gentle sort of pain.

“At Least you can choose to leave.” she’d replied. If she'd had lungs she'd be holding her breathe, they hadn't spoken since the day she died. Her death was an accident, or so they told everyone. In the years-long fight against evil she had fallen victim at a time inconvenient for Dumbledore and his plans. “ The students aren't as bad as they used to be” she told him as she floated down, lowering her body to reach his eye level.

“the new generation will do well.” He agreed. Still keeping his eyes trained on the view, trees that swayed in the cool evening breeze. The moon wasn't visible, but if it had been it would've sat in the sky in a crescent like shape. “Their children visit me, you know.” she states more than asks him, turning her head to look at him.

The scars on his face almost glowed as she floated closer. “ I answer the questions they ask.” she continued, “ Luna asked about her mother, who her school friends were. Neville came to me when he passed a quiz he was particularly worried about.” she spoke sitting down on the sill of the large gothic style window. “The twins have their parents but their mother doesn't like their inventions. They use this corridor to test most of them. Harry joins them sometimes. He's the spitting image of his father.”

He finally faces her, tears falling down his face “I'm sorry I wasn't there” his voice breaks, “I'm sorry, I didn't come looking for you that night.” He falls to his knees, softly crying to the woman he loved. “ I know you are, Love.” She tries to hold him but knows all too well that her hand will go straight through him. “Love, look at me” she instructed, “you're not the one who killed me. I was basically alone in the castle. It was Christmas for Godric's sake.” she explains as he looks at her, tears staining his face. “ no-one thinks the professor's aid is going to be targeted, especially on Christmas.”

She kneels down next to him, with the most loving look in her eyes. “It's time you move on Remus. Live your life while you still have it. And I'll teach the new witches and wizards all about those who came before them.” she leaned her head against the brick where he had laid his head moments ago.

“Are you sure?” he asks her softly, “more than. I'm 100% positive that you should live your life.” she answers. He wipes his face of any tears with a handkerchief from his pocket. “I love you.” He said finally standing up to his full height, “I always will” he looked at her as she too raised herself from the floor. “ I wouldn't expect any less,” she says slowly, looking down at her hands. The translucency setting her back into her reality, “you should go back to your office, the twins usually sneak out around this time. Wouldn't want them seeing you here.”

With one last look she takes off down the hall, falling into sobs of her own as she leaves his sights.
